The average progressive mindset is rooted in a distinct fantasy of rebelliousness, where leftists view themselves as the heroic underdogs battling against oppressive structures such as “the system” or “the patriarchy.” This self-perception is crucial for the collectivist ideology they uphold, allowing them to situate their beliefs and actions in a framework of resistance. Paradoxically, this narrative relies on creating an imagined fascist adversary to challenge. If leftists were to confront the reality that they often embody the very establishment and authoritarianism they oppose, their worldview would likely unravel. Thus, they continue to propagate alarming narratives, even when these ideas seem far-fetched to a broader audience, because convincing themselves of their moral righteousness is integral to their ideology.

Take, for example, an alarmist Democratic propaganda video featuring outlandish scenarios, such as JD Vance as a dictatorship and Elon Musk becoming a god-like figure utilizing technology for nefarious purposes. These absurd claims serve a dual purpose: reinforcing a sense of urgency against a fabricated enemy and solidifying a belief in their own heroism. By mapping dire predictions about climate change and societal collapse onto their vision, progressives further entrench their belief in the necessity of their ‘fight.’ Missing from this dramatization are rational discussions or evidence-based arguments, highlighting the reliance on sensationalism over pragmatism and truth.

In an analysis of such propaganda, references to progressive organizations underline a persistent insistence on financing alarmist content, showcasing a reliance on External narratives of doom to legitimize their activism. This tendency often results in accusation-casting against conservatives, labeling them as power-hungry elites akin to historical tyrants. The irony lies in the fact that leftists frequently fall into the trap of conspiracy theories—whether it’s exaggerated fears about conservative agendas or other delusions—indicating a profound disconnect from reality. The zeal to position themselves as “freedom fighters” becomes muddied by their actual influence and control within political and media spaces.

Over the past few decades, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic, progressives have been among the principal beneficiaries of political, media, and social power, dominating discussions on issues ranging from climate action to social justice. With vast networks of influence, including government, corporations, and media, leftist narratives have pervaded public discourse. As they expand their ideological reach, they often attack core principles held by conservatives, depicting them as obstacles to progress, which creates a palpable sense of urgency and crisis in their messaging.

Moreover, leftists’ support for controversial measures during the pandemic—including extreme restrictions on civil liberties and the imposition of vaccine mandates—illustrates an unsettling willingness to sacrifice fundamental rights for a perceived greater good. Polls indicated significant backing from Democrats for curbing freedoms, all in the name of enforcing health mandates. This tendency reveals an ironic twist: those who cultivate an image of fighting for liberty have often resorted to authoritarian methods that contradict their professed values.

Amidst these dynamics, significant censorship has emerged, particularly targeting conservative viewpoints on high-stakes issues like COVID-19 and climate change. This suppression has, at times, been orchestrated through collusion between government entities and Big Tech platforms, challenging the integrity of democratic discourse. As progressives portray themselves as the assertive challengers of the establishment, they unwittingly reveal their transformation into the very entity they claim to oppose, culminating in a pervasive irony: many who frame themselves as outlaws in this struggle often represent the status quo. They are not merely critiquing power; they are wielding it, showcasing the dissonance between their narratives and the reality of their influence and control.
